Canada Day in the NCR

I experienced my very first Canada Day in the Nation's Capital a few days ago....and I have to say....not too shabby for the most part. Downtown was filled with a sea of red and white as vast amounts of people weaved their way through entertainment spots. I did find that it felt as though rudeness was at it's prime....I have never been shoved, pushed and felt so invisible than on Canada Day. Parents with kids, teenagers, older individuals, people my age....there was no specific group that I can pinpoint as being the culprit! And really, saying that people were doing it because they were drinking is no excuse. I enjoyed seeing the many people out so proud of our Country, yet it was exhausting and I didn't even make it to the fireworks. But, now I can say I was a part of the celebrations. Too bad I had to head off to work the next day (probably a small reason why I wasn't as excited as usual).

Did end up at a house party...pictures to follow once I download them from my camera.
